Nailsea Narrowly Lose To Newport In Close Fought Home Game, 64 - 66

October 11, 2007 on 11:15 am | In General

Nailsea played their third match of the season last night, at home against Newport. The Nailsea team came out to a slow start , and ended the first quarter down 11 points, at 11 - 22. Nailsea showed their strong desire to win, clawing the score back from a one-time 14 point defecit to actually take the lead at one point. However, the game ended very closely, going right to the wire, and ending 64 - 66.

Nailsea’s scoring was lead by game MVP, Angus Roach, with 13 points. Dan Roach also clocked up 12 and Nick Oldfield scored 11. An extra big thanks to Marcus Driver for sacrificing his spot on the court to help out with the table last night! As usual, the crowd were fantastic, and I hope the enjoyed one of the closest games we have played to date.
