Nailsea Lose Tough Game away at Swindon Shock

Nailsea traveled to Swindon to play against the very strong “Swindon Shock” team. The final score was 104 - 54 in Swindon’s favour, largely down to a 59 point game from their number 12! Scorers for Nailsea are shown below, with Tom Sparey picking up 13 points and MVP honours

Nailsea Lose Close Battle with Wizards

Nailsea Basketball completed their 3rd game of the season this week at Nailsea School, against the Wizards. The game was closely contested throughout, but saw the Wizards team emerge with the victory with a scoreline of 49 - 55. Nailsea played good defense for most of the game but were unable to convert much at the offensive end. The Wizards also exploited some three-point threats to push the score line in their favour at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, something which Nailsea could not quite catch up to. In terms of scoring, Tom Sparey lead the Nailsea team with 16 points, backed up by Jordan Paton who captured the game MVP and 8 points.

Nailsea Secure Victory at Braves 3

Nailsea have secured a convincing win away at Braves 3 in their second game of the season, on 30th September 2010. The score line finished 71 - 32 in Nailsea’s favour with a strong Nailsea D helping to hold off the opponents throughout the game. Jordan Paton was awarded the game MVP along with his 17 points. Paul Roy finished with a game high 18 to support.
